Illustration for the children’s book on verse by Ksenia Valakhanovich “My favorite crocodile” for the contest #денькрокодила organised each year by Elina Ellis.

The sketch was done by pencil, then scanned and painted over in Photoshop. In the process I’ve decided to put characters straight.

I really wanted to convey the feeling when parents do not let to flourish childhood dream for some reason and a childish reluctance to let it go. I hope that Mom doesn’t look too angry. In general, this is all a conspiracy of cats.
